The Buffalo Farm: Styled Workshop
Earlier in February, Mike & I were lucky enough to “model” our wedding attire again and be a part of Evelyn Barkey’s workshop at The Buffalo Farm in Northern Ontario. I had a few very confused people wondering why wedding photos were surfacing of us again, but it was just us playing dress up! ;)
This post is a little overdue but I wanted to share some of the amazing details from that weekend + a few shots from our gallery because it was such an exciting workshop! We were so happy to be included and play a small role in making this happen. Evelyn Barkey Photo was the mastermind/organizer/badass team leader for 9 attendee’s at this workshop and she created one amazing weekend for everyone involved.
There was a ton of vendors that came together to make this Buffalo Farm Workshop happen and I want to mention them because they were all so amazing. I’ve linked all the vendor’s websites/pages and included their IG handles so you can follow along all of their adventures. Such a talented group of individuals - I highly recommend checking them all out!

Okay, now I MUST share this unbelievable location, but sorry folks - it’s not anywhere near Toronto. About 4.5 - 5 hours north of Toronto is The Buffalo Farm in Mattawa, ON. It’s a very remote location but so worth it. You can rent the yurt year round, however I believe they are renovating at the moment so the online booking is down (Definitely keep checking back on their page for updates as it’s such a cool spot to visit!).
Next up, I wanted to share our gallery of images shot by Evelyn Barkey. These photos are some of my absolute favourite shots of Mike & I. Yes, it was freezing but nowhere near as cold as our ACTUAL wedding day. The sun was shining and we were surrounded by 9 photographers who were so eager to learn and have fun! We had such a great time cozying up inside the yurt and I was beyond excited to wear my wedding dress over again (not many people get to wear theirs again so I feel lucky to have given it another wear). Sadly, we didn’t actually see the buffalo as they were hiding away, but that just means we’ll have to take another trip up that way in the Springtime!
